The lowest-rated part of the complete system—including the vehicle, bed, cap, rack and mounting hardware—determines the usable capacity. Include the weight of the rack, tent and other equipment, and follow the instructions for every component.

SmartCap’s sealing system is designed to provide weather protection when correctly assembled and installed. The Positive Pressure Air Vent helps reduce road dust being drawn into the enclosed bed while driving.

Seal condition, installation and maintenance matter. The cap is not submersible, and high-pressure water can enter through the vent. Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions rather than treating weather protection as a guarantee against every source of water.

Chevrolet and GMC fitment: match the truck, not just the badge.

A Silverado 1500 cap is not automatically a fit for an HD truck. A Colorado or Canyon application is not interchangeable with a full-size cap. Model year, body generation, cab configuration and bed length all matter.

Those terms describe the same general type of enclosed truck-bed cover. The RSI SmartCap EVO Sport is a stainless-steel cap with side access and compatibility with selected storage and roof-carrying accessories. It is not a complete slide-in camper.

Will a Silverado SmartCap fit my GMC Sierra?

Certain Silverado and Sierra applications share a listed fitment, but that does not make every cap interchangeable. Match the exact model series, year, body generation and bed length to the selected part number.

Will it fit a Colorado or Canyon?

Selected Colorado and Canyon configurations are available through this listing. Choose the specific midsize application; a Silverado or Sierra cap is not a substitute.

Are roof racks, storage bins and kitchen components included?

Can I put a rooftop tent on the SmartCap?
